Star Trek Online - how many of us are playing?
I have been having a blast playing STO (just got promoted to Lt. Commander!) and I am wondering how many members of K7 are playing.
Also, if you are willing to share your ingame 'handle' it would be possible to Friend each other for chatting, team action, or assistance with missions.
I'll get the ball rolling: my handle is Kyrke@captyoung
Hope to see you there!

Re: Star Trek Online - how many of us are playing?
I am really liking the gameplay and the graphics, the visuals are gorgeous! The space combat can be quite exciting and the landing party missions can either be exploration or ground combat, depending on the mission.
Like any MMO, the chatting is done through a chat window and you can select whether to chat locally or just to your team or fleet. Unfortunately, on the local channels there is a tremendous amount of spam occurring but it is easy enough to report the spammers and add them to your 'ignore player' list.
There have been plenty of references to classic Trek in the game missions I have completed so far, including dealing with a new brand of augments (think of Kahn and his crowd, but as lizards), visiting the Guardian of Forever, and destroying a Doomsday Machine.
Yep, life is good for a Trekkie these days!

As of current the only in-ship area you can access is the bridge (Besides special missions like the tutorial.) Waiting for the C-store to come fully online so I can buy some TOS uniforms . Handle, Lamb@Shaun555

I've been playing it for a few months now. In fact, my son is playing his character at the moment and hogging the pc, LOL! I wish it were more TOS era based, though. You guys have the right idea here, Star Trek as it was meant to be. Sincerely, Ken Oh, and my characters all have @Saladin_CO at the end of them.

Yep, gotta love TOS! I deliberately purchased the game with the TOS uniform bonus and ALL my characters and bridge officers wear them. FYI, all of my character handles end with @captyoung. captyoung

Hopefully they'll start offering free trials later on in the year; I played the beta but would like to give it a go now that more content has been added.

tell us!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me too. Graphicaly my pc is below spec but the game runs ok. You mostly fly around in your starship. Only on missions that require it or when you're docked at bases you can walk around. You can 'interact' with people as far as it's required for a mission or to get orders but this is mostly clicking an available option in a dialog screen. Talking to other players can be done through the chatbox.

Can you be more specific about what you mean with 8 people to do it?
