I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, it will probably take me another year or 2 to finish adding everything to the Enterprise MOD that I really want to get mapped into it.

The good news is, I have enough completed that I am ready to release another demo. This will be similar to the 1701demo2 release, except it will feature most all of the ship, lots of updated areas from the first demo, and will feature better AI scripting for bad guys than the first release did.

I just have a few more issues to sort out, then throw in some enemies to shoot at, and it will be ready. I am hoping for a Christmas '09 release, but it may be early in 2010. I'll have more info in a week or two.

Wow! I didn't think I could get it all finished and worked into the maps before the upcoming release, but the Mod now features nice full-scale views of the Enterprise from out of 3-4 of it's windows. The running lights on the Primary Hull now blink (thanks for the suggestion Toon), and the domes on the warp engines have a nice TOS feel to the effect, though it's not entirely acurate to the series. They look better in-game than in these screenies.

The portside view of the nacelle brings back fond memories of Wreck Deck. My God! I loved that map!

Well, I finished all the construction that will be in the next release. I'm currently adding in the NPCs and working out their AI, but it looks like I wont be finished till after the New Year. My job and the holidays are just too busy right now. In the meantime, here's a quick shot of some of the bad guys roaming around on Deck 8. I'm working on getting them to fight each other from time to time, instead of them all just rushing the player when you walk into the room. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Sorry for the long silence. My 'good' PC died just before finishing work on the Demo, and unfortunatly I lost a lot of NPC stuff in the process. I have an older computer, but it can't run Radiant. I finally bought a new PC (though it's not as good as the one that died). I had a lot of trouble getting GDK Radiant to work on it, so I tried GTK Radiant, which worked, but all my map files were messes up and missing parts.

I finally have Radiant working and just finished up reprogramming the last bits of the demo. You can expect an announcement in the very near future.

Good news everyone! Demo2 is finished and should be available very soon. Watch the Announcements Forum for the err, umm... announcement.

In the meantime, here are a couple of pics I threw together recently using some downloadable content for a poser program, and includes my bridge-map for one of the image settings. I really didn't do much creatively here, except maybe in framing the shots and getting the lighting to match the background, and they're not that great, but they were fun to make.
