 TOS Weapons Mod Help
Here I am with another question:
I've installed both weapons mods using the self-installing versions, and now I can't seem to play wit hthe regular guns, the TOS weapons (Phaser I, II, and the comprssion rifle) have taken over.
What am I to do?

Though I had nothing to do with the development of either programs, but from my own experience I can say that they do not affect the original program at all. Of course you have to make sure that you start a regular Voyager Holo-Match rather than any of the launcher files.

Sounds like you haven't installed the mod correctly.
The mod uses its own code from it's own directory and launches using it's own executable. If you forego any of these procedures then you will experience problems.

OK i suck what am I doing wrong? I unzip tos wp II in the base folder and I get NOTHING!
YES i am a pc rookie (newbe jokes may comence!)

Its not supposed to go into the basef folder.
It goes into the Startrek Voyager Elite Force folder.
That might be why it doesn't work for you.

I installed the mod and it seems to work but the holomatch won't work it keeps coming up with this GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Hi, welcome to K7!
I am not exactly sure why you are getting that particular error. I would recommend uninstalling both the mod and the Elite Force game completely. Reinstall Elite Force and the expansion pack, making sure to restart your computer after each install. Test to make sure that Holomatch works before installing the exp pack. If holomatch works before the exp pack but not after, you may need to download the elite force patch 1.2 to install instead of the exp pack. Google will find download sites for this file.
Be sure to use the 'installer' version of the mod and read the 'readme' file carefully. Also be sure to set your 'com_hunkmegs' to at least 100. (there should be instructions in the mod readme about this)
A question for you...is your computer operating Windows 7 or XP? This could make a difference, Windows 7 might be a problem for this older game.

Hi Tarel. What are you computer's specs? Typing that error code into google seems to indicate that this is a software problem, one that's caused by not having OpenGl drivers installed for your graphics card. Many of the posts relating to this problem seem to be for games with id tech 3 or 4 engines; Elite Force uses the id tech 3 engine (aka the Quake 3 Arena engine). I'm not sure about the specs but i tried some of the solutions and it still doesn't run. A freind suggested a new graphics card so I might save up and get one but other that I don't know.

I'd try updating your graphics card drivers before buying a new card; it seems to be more of a software problem than a hardware one.

I am going to try elite force on my laptop, it might work better on it, star trek legacy works on my laptop (if a bit slow) so why shouldn't elte force?

I don't know of any way to make the Weapons Mod work in single player, but you can change some of the single player weapons into TOS weapons. Just download Synchromesh's Enterprise2 map and it should change the first 4 weapon slots into TOS weapons, even in single player. Hope that helps.
